Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how TransitPosters collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, create an account, submit custom poster orders, upload images, make payments, receive shipments, or submit reviews.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as name, email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and account identifiers.
  • Order information, such as poster title, genre, size, notes, custom text, uploaded photos, design instructions, proof history, status, payment state, shipping details, and support communications.
  • Uploaded content, including customer images, received-print photos, review photos, and any text, names, dates, or messages you provide.
  • Payment-related information, such as purchase amount, deposit status, payment status, transaction metadata, and billing information processed through third-party payment providers. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers.
  • Shipping information, such as recipient name, address, phone number, carrier, tracking number, delivery notes, and fulfillment status.
  • Review and testimonial information, including rating, review text, permission-to-feature selection, photos, poster title, and moderation status.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location, cookies, analytics identifiers, and log data.

How We Use Information

  • Create and manage customer accounts.
  • Receive, review, design, proof, print, fulfill, ship, and support custom poster orders.
  • Generate AI-assisted or manually edited artwork based on customer instructions.
  • Process deposits, payments, refunds, chargeback responses, and fraud prevention.
  • Communicate about orders, proofs, approvals, shipping, customer support, policy updates, and account activity.
  • Moderate customer uploads, reviews, testimonials, and prohibited content.
  • Display approved testimonials and customer photos when permission is granted.
  • Improve website performance, product quality, security, analytics, and customer experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce policies, protect rights, and prevent misuse.

Cookies, Analytics, And Tracking

We use privacy-conscious first-party analytics to measure page views, approximate daily unique visitors, sessions, device categories, referring websites, and popular pages. The analytics database does not store raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, names, or email addresses. Anonymous browser identifiers are hashed before storage, and Do Not Track browser signals are respected.

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, operate the website, remember preferences, measure traffic, improve performance, and prevent misuse.

Optional analytics remain disabled until you select Accept Analytics. You can decline without affecting ordering, payments, or downloads, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the website footer. Your consent preference is stored locally so the website can remember your selection.

Payment Processing

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Those providers may collect and process payment card data, billing details, fraud signals, and transaction information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. TransitPosters receives limited transaction and payment-status information needed to operate orders.

AI And Service Providers

To provide custom poster services, we may use vendors and service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, file storage, payment processing, analytics, email, AI-assisted image generation or editing, manual design workflows, printing, fulfillment, shipping, support, and security.

Uploaded images and instructions may be processed by these providers only as needed to provide, secure, improve, or support the service, subject to provider terms and applicable law.

Marketing Communications

If you opt in or where permitted by law, we may send marketing emails about TransitPosters products, offers, updates, or featured work. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the instructions in those messages. We may still send non-marketing messages about your account, orders, payments, shipping, security, and policies.

Reviews And Public Display

Reviews are not displayed publicly by default. If you grant permission and a review is approved, we may publicly display your review, rating, customer-submitted photo, poster title, and name or initials in website sections, testimonials, portfolios, social media, or marketing materials.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, complete orders, support customers, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain backups. Uploaded images, proofs, reviews, and order records may be retained after fulfillment unless deletion is requested and we are legally or operationally able to comply.

How We Share Information

  • With service providers that help us operate accounts, payments, hosting, storage, design, AI-assisted tools, printing, shipping, analytics, email, and support.
  • With payment processors, fulfillment vendors, carriers, and fraud-prevention providers as needed to complete transactions and deliveries.
  • With legal, regulatory, or law-enforcement parties when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, security, and property.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or transfer of business operations.
  • Publicly, only for approved testimonials, portfolio content, or other materials where rights and permissions allow public display.

User Rights And Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain marketing communications or targeted advertising where applicable.
